The EBIOS method

EBIOS (Expression of Needs and Identification of Security Objectives) is the ANSSI risk management method.

Steps of the simplified analysis

1. Context: define the scope, essential assets
2. Feared events: identify what could harm the organization
3. Risk sources: threats and vulnerabilities
4. Scenarios: risk source / target objective pairs
5. Treatment plan: security measures to implement

Result

At the end of the analysis, you get:

• A mapping of your risks
• A prioritization (critical, high, medium, low)
• A prioritized action plan
